Let’s focus on our small business website development services. P-Tn is not an advertising or marketing agency, and we are not a full-time web development firm. For decades, we have provided professional photography and videography services to our construction clients. More recently, we expanded our own website to showcase our many Visual Documentation Services. The project of developing and updating our own website equipped us with the resources and skills, which we have further developed through employee training. When we began receiving requests from our own clients for assistance with building or managing their websites, we were happy to help.  

What do we offer our clients interested in web support? Quite a bit, actually.  

We will perform a thorough usability audit of your existing site to evaluate everything your visitors experience when they land on your pages. We mean everything—from overall page layout and navigation functionality to ensuring that all photos and graphics load correctly. Text is proofread for spelling or grammar errors, and to check for inconsistent paragraph layouts or font displays. Are your photos of good quality and loading quickly? If you have a contact or employment application form, we’ll verify it's complete and that it actually submits when you hit SUBMIT. It is surprising how many websites have ‘minor’ issues that linger for years before they are identified and corrected.  

That same usability audit gives us an opportunity to provide suggestions for layout or navigation enhancements, or improvements to your photo and video content—changes that would enhance the visitor experience. At a very affordable cost, our staff will conduct follow-up usability audits on a monthly or quarterly basis, delivering a simple report that highlights what was checked and notifies you of new issues found. Simple tweaks can be easily addressed. If the issue is more complex, such as updates to systems or software, we'll inform you and provide an estimate for the required corrections or design changes. This fee may include occasional updates of photos or replacing text and titles with revised write-ups that you might want.  

In short, we monitor the site regularly and deliver services to fix bugs and keep it running smoothly. When a major refresh of pages or layout sections is needed, we’re here to assist with redesign or expansion of the original layout. Photographic, graphic, and written content must be updated periodically to keep imagery fresh and text current. Send us your latest photos or new write-ups, and we’ll incorporate those changes.  

We are also here to produce professional quality marketing imagery. This includes photos and edited videos to share your business success stories with current and prospective customers. If you have, or need to set up, a social media posting program to complement your website's online presence as an additional layer of exposure to attract new customers, P-Tn can create content for those posts or take the load off posting your own material across multiple platforms or to a newsworthy blog section for your website.
